Kevin Lu
Mentor of Belonging
Kevin Lu is a student at Rutgers University studying biology while exploring interests in data science and interdisciplinary problem-solving. He is passionate about community service and actively seeks opportunities to support and uplift others through volunteer work and campus initiatives.
Through his experiences, Kevin has developed a strong appreciation for collaboration, leadership, and creating meaningful impact within his community. He is particularly interested in roles and projects that combine analytical thinking with real-world applications.
Outside of academics and service, Kevin enjoys spending time in nature—whether hiking scenic trails, exploring new environments, or relaxing by the beach. He values growth, balance, and staying connected to both people and the world around him.
As someone who has navigated the world with a unique perspective shaped by neurodiversity, Kevin brings a deep, personal understanding of inclusion and belonging. His lived experiences have strengthened his empathy, resilience, and commitment to creating spaces where individuals of all backgrounds feel seen, respected, and supported. In his role as a Mentor of Belonging, he hopes to foster genuine connection and ensure that every voice has a place within the community, while guiding and engaging youth volunteers to actively build connection, support one another, and contribute to an inclusive environment.
